Modular Design-Build Daycare for the Metis Nation of BC

Freeport was engaged as the Design-Builder for a new 3,600 sq. ft. daycare in Mission, BC for the Metis Nation of BC (MNBC). The project was a full turnkey solution, managing permitting, site preparation, service upgrades, and final landscaping.

The Challenge

MNBC required a 3,600 sq. ft. Part 3 building that strictly met both the BC Building Code and the BC Childcare Licensing requirements. The design also needed to incorporate Indigenous cultural features and utilize a method that minimized on-site disruption.
